Remittance Company grants schollership to Orphan studens

Twenty orphans (20) who are students from HIRDA schools in Somalia have been awarded a scholarship by KAAH EXPRESS a remittance company which has offices in Den Haag and Tilburg , the Netherlands. The Scholarship is aimed at enabling these orphans to go through their education and also ease the financial burden that normally prevents them from attaining education to a good level.

KAAH EXPRESS took this initiative as an example of how Somalian and non-Somalian companies, individuals outside Somalia can contribute actively to sponsoring education in Somalia. This initiative was also taken based on the long years good relationship that exist between HIRDA and KAAH EXPRESS in sending remittances to Somalia. It was also based on the in-depth knowledge KAAH EXPRESS have on the efforts HIRDA is making towards ensuring that orphans in Somalia are not neglected but are also given the right form of education.

The decades of wars in Somali have created a large population of orphans who have no adult family member(s) to guide them into adulthood. These children are in need of love, food, education, shelter, cloths and healthcare.

They look up to the world and unless they are helped they might grow up to be a burden to the society in future.
We appreciate the initiative taken by KAAH EXPRESS and we hope that this will be replicated by other Hawala Agents, individuals in and outside Somalia as a way of ensuring that the suffering that these children go through are alleviated.
